About The Position

Director of Grants and Contracts (Full-time; 40 hours/week) Generations Family Health Center, Inc. is a regional community health center covering a thirty-seven town rural region in eastern Connecticut with sites located in Willimantic, Danielson, Norwich and Putnam. Our dedicated staff provides a full range of primary care services to all ages including medical, dental and behavioral health care, as well as care coordination and community outreach. In addition to our main facilities, we offer mobile programs and School Based Health Centers. LOCATION: Willimantic, CT JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Grants and Contracts will lead and centralize compliance and performance reporting of the agency’s grants and contracts to ensure the highest quality of compliance with legal and funder requirements across programs. The Director responsibilities include grant solicitation, budget preparation, contracting, and award administration, including financial monitoring and reporting. As a member of the Generations Leadership Team, the Director will work collaboratively with clinical, operations, and other agency leadership to support and monitor program implementation and ongoing performance. The Director will serve as the point of contact between GFHC and contracts/grants officers and review and approve contracts and grants documents to advise the CEO for signature.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in a relevant field, preferably with health and/or social service experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail and experience with state, federal and local RFP processes.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and proposals in deadline-driven environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in grant writing/grants and contracts management preferred, ideally in a non-profit environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
