About The Position

The Director of Graduate Programs at Simmons University will lead the development and implementation of innovative, women-centered graduate courses and programs aimed at promoting gender equity in business, economics, and management. This role involves strategic growth of a newly developed 1-year Masters of Science in Management and the design of new graduate degree programs and certificates. The Director will work closely with faculty and administration, report to the Dean of the School of Management, and engage with students, alumni, and industry partners to enhance program visibility and enrollment.

Requirements

  • MBA or Graduate Degree in Marketing preferred.
  • Proven success in marketing innovative graduate programs that drive enrollment growth.
  • Substantial experience in teaching and developing curriculum in business disciplines.
  • Track record of entrepreneurial program development and sustained growth.
  • Experience working collegially with faculty to establish high-quality graduate programs.
  • Commitment to diversity and global orientation in program development.
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and champion new graduate program designs for early career professionals without prior business degrees.
  • Lead innovative course and program development that aligns with women-centered disciplinary expertise.
  • Partner with Simmons Offices of Graduate Admission, Marketing, and Communication to promote the value of women-centered education.
  • Build relationships with alumnae/i and industry partners to support enrollment and career progression.
  • Manage the student recruitment and enrollment process for graduate programs.
  • Advise and support student success, fostering connections between students and business leaders.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Dean and Program Manager to deploy faculty effectively.
  • Submit program proposals and manage ongoing program review processes.
  • Teach part-time across business and management disciplines.
