About The Position

What You’ll Do: We are seeking a talented Director of Government Partnerships to join our team. The ideal candidate is a technical leader who has experience in securing and contributing to the successful completion of government projects. In addition, the candidate will be an expert in relationship building and project procurement mechanisms. The candidate is required to have experience in projects related to piloted aircraft, and preferably rotorcraft and optionally piloted vehicles. The Director would support the acquisition and expansion of new and current projects. They would work closely with the Engineering Services team and management. The position will report to the Director of Engineering Services. · Identify and support to acquire new government contract opportunities in collaboration with the senior Engineering Services team, as well as company leadership. · Leading meetings, briefings, and communications with government stakeholders, and fostering and growing relationships with existing and new customers. · Provide support to the Engineering Services team for proposals, deliverables and reporting. · Attend conferences, meetings, and stakeholder events to share and promote STI’s vision and mission.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of business development or relevant experience with the DoD
  • Experienced in manned-aircraft programs, preferably rotary-wing.
  • Active Minimum Secret Security Clearance
  • Project experience relating to flight simulation, virtual reality, guidance control navigation, or pilot assessment and training.
  • Demonstrated success securing funding for DoD programs, experience with SBIR/STTR program desirable.
  • Strong presentation skills and long-standing relationships in the DoD/Government space.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a pilot or trainer preferred. Experience in the eVTOL/AAM/UAM industry is a big plus!
