We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Governance Solutions Marketing, to lead integrated marketing initiatives that drive awareness, engagement, and client acquisition across our institutional client segments. This is a leadership role driving growth for our Governance business. In this role, you will be responsible for developing compelling Go-To-Market (GTM) plans, client-centric messaging/campaigns, event ideation, and product marketing materials to help shape the voice of our Governance businesses, drive awareness and accelerate growth globally. This is a highly collaborative role with opportunity for impact, working across the organization with senior members of the Governance business, Sales, Product, Client Success and Marketing. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B financial services marketing with the ability to translate sophisticated client insights into compelling value propositions. Through this role, you will be responsible for defining and planning the messaging, and tactics, to position our Governance solutions offering as innovative and industry-leading data, research and analytics provider. Reporting to the Head of Investor Solutions Marketing, this individual will build strong relationships with key stakeholders across ISS STOXX to ensure activities are consistent and aligned with the business unit strategy, as well as firm-wide to increase awareness potential collaboration opportunities.

  • Develop strong relationships with internal teams and participate in ongoing Business and Product team discussions to obtain an in-depth understanding of our services, products features, and clients.
  • Design detailed marketing plans to support the overarching goals of the business and support the launch of new products across all communication channels spanning email, webinars, in person events, social media, collateral, and more.
  • Communicate updates that will affect campaign assets proactively and clearly and set realistic timeline expectations with stakeholders and team members supporting execution.
  • Write and edit compelling marketing copy for products and services, client/prospect outreach, and sales enablement material.
  • Support existing products by ensuring the content of existing print, email, presentation, and web communication materials is updated to reflect the latest data and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to achieve increased media attribution, PR mentions, and enhanced social media presence.
  • Partner with marketing peers to identify opportunities to cross promote products and solutions.
  • Proactively collect and report on competitive intelligence.
  • Monitor, and report on lead generation activity (e.g., click-through rates, conversion rates, open rates) to measure campaign effectiveness.
  • Manage marketing activity calendar.
  • Have a solid working knowledge of Marketing tools and platforms, and constantly evaluate new tools, techniques, and approaches, and make budgeted recommendations when appropriate.
  • 10 years of B2B financial services marketing experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: can articulate campaign objectives, challenges and solutions, and communicate them effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience in writing and delivering compelling marketing content with extreme attention to detail. Digital marketing experience a strong plus.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with a diverse and global group of internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical and data-driven when it comes to understanding sophisticated product and platform features, identifying campaign impact and measuring KPIs.
  • Able to work at both strategic and tactical levels, develop marketing plans, generate innovative ideas and manage the execution of campaigns and projects that span multiple teams.
  • Superior project management skills, including being detail oriented, joining discussions well prepared, communicating frequently, setting clear expectations, steering teams towards alignment, and consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Highly proficient in Office applications and a strong understanding of the capabilities of enterprise-level email Marketing platforms (i.e., HubSpot) and CRMs (i.e., Salesforce).
  • Natural leader and self-starter who easily navigates ambiguous situations while being resourceful and solutions-oriented.
