About The Position

The Director of Golf is responsible for leading all golf operations at The Boca Raton, ensuring a consistently high level of service, execution, and overall experience for both members and resort guests. The role is focused on delivering a best-in-class private club golf experience within the broader resort environment, aligned with the standards, culture, and expectations of The Boca Raton. This position works in close partnership with Agronomy, Membership, and Resort Operations leadership to drive utilization, maintain exceptional course conditions, and enhance the overall member and guest experience.

Requirements

Proven ability to deliver a high-touch member and guest experience.
Strong operational, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments in a complex, integrated resort environment.
Strong communication skills and professional presence.
7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in a luxury resort or private club environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee all day-to-day golf operations with a focus on consistency, efficiency, and elevated service delivery.
Manage tee sheet strategy, pace of play, and overall course flow to optimize both utilization and experience.
Ensure seamless execution of tournaments, member events, and resort group play.
Maintain a visible and engaged presence with members and guests, reinforcing the service culture of The Boca Raton.
Build strong relationships and respond to feedback in a timely, professional manner.
Partner with Membership leadership to support onboarding, engagement, and retention.
Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure course conditions consistently meet or exceed expectations.
Provide input on playability, course setup, and tournament conditions.
Align daily operations with agronomic priorities and long-term course strategy.
Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing golf operations team.
Establish clear expectations and accountability aligned with The Boca Raton’s service culture.
Provide ongoing coaching and development to support team growth and retention.
Develop and execute a comprehensive calendar of golf programming, including tournaments, clinics, and member events.
Support player development across all segments, including juniors, women, and emerging players.
Collaborate with resort and group teams to maximize course utilization.
Manage departmental performance in alignment with budget and operational goals.
Monitor key metrics including rounds played, utilization, and member engagement.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and enhance overall performance.
