About The Position

Verkada is seeking a strategic, execution-oriented Director of Global Operations & Fulfillment to lead our global operations footprint. This role owns all aspects of logistics and fulfillment, from freight and 3PL partnerships to order fulfillment and trade compliance. This is a full-time, in-person role located in San Mateo, CA, reporting to the VP of Sourcing & Supply Chain.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in logistics, fulfillment, or global supply chain operations with demonstrated leadership experience.
  • A proven track record of successfully building and developing individuals and teams.
  • Demonstrated success managing global freight and 3PL networks, including during periods of international expansion.
  • A customer-first mindset with a deep focus on reliability, responsiveness, and quality of service.
  • Strong understanding of export compliance, HTS/ECCN classification, dangerous goods handling, and duty drawback programs.
  • Excellent skills as a cross-functional collaborator and an effective communicator.
  • Experience in fast-paced, hardware, or high-growth environments (Strongly Preferred).
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead outbound freight operations, optimizing for cost, speed, and service across all domestic and cross-border shipping.
  • Lead the Fulfillment team responsible for order processing, shipping, returns, RMAs, and spare parts logistics.
  • Oversee and manage our network of 3PL partners in the U.S. and abroad, ensuring reliable service and efficient execution.
  • Own fulfillment-related customer support processes (email and phone) to ensure a responsive, high-quality experience.
  • Manage inbound freight from global manufacturers to our global warehouses.
  • Oversee all trade compliance functions, including import/export processes, ECCN/HTS classification, and duty drawback programs.
  • Identify and implement tools and scalable processes to increase team productivity, operational visibility, and reduce manual overhead.
