About The Position
The Director of the General Education Office (GEO) is a faculty position appointed by the Vice Provost for Academic Excellence (VPAE) in consultation with the Manoa Faculty Senate's Senate Executive Committee (SEC). The GEO is responsible for overseeing the General Education program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, ensuring that it aligns with faculty governance and external accreditation requirements. The position is temporary, with an expected start date of August 1, 2025, and is renewable annually for up to three years. The Director will work collaboratively with various faculty committees and administrative offices to implement and assess the General Education curriculum.
