About The Position

The Director of Food and Beverage serves as the strategic business leader for the food and beverage operations at The Westin St. Francis San Francisco. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 6 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or event management; or a 2-year degree in a related field with 4 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of customer service principles and processes.
  • Experience in financial resource management and budget development.
  • Understanding of business and management principles for strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Ability to analyze market dynamics and develop strategies to drive business results.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of departmental strategies for food and beverage operations.
  • Ensure the food and beverage operation meets brand target customer needs and employee satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage the Food and Beverage budget, monitoring sales to meet revenue goals.
  • Lead and mentor the food and beverage leadership team, fostering a culture of trust and cooperation.
  • Establish and maintain open communication with the food and beverage team and direct reports.
  • Review financial reports to assess performance against budget and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to increase profits and enhance service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with cash control and liquor control policies in food and beverage areas.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address areas for improvement based on guest feedback.
