About The Position

The Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations at the Elliot Park Hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences through effective management and strategic planning. This role involves menu management, staff supervision, revenue maximization, and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a luxury hospitality operation.
  • Beverage certification preferred.
  • Supervisory, coaching, and staff development experience.
  • Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, which may include weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds on own and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to stand and walk for entire shift.

  • Experience in upper upscale and luxury segments of hospitality.
  • Knowledge of guest satisfaction metrics and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and ensure the success of all food & beverage operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies aligned with the company's business goals.
  • Oversee and update food & beverage menus within company guidelines.
  • Manage inventory weekly and monthly, ensuring adherence to budget and cost metrics.
  • Create and adjust associate schedules based on business needs and budget.
  • Ensure associates have the necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Ensure maximum revenue from all sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and group planners to meet group-specific requirements.
  • Contribute to marketing meetings for creative opportunities and events.
  • Execute programming aligned with the brand's operating strategy and pillars.
  • Work with property and corporate leadership to improve Guest Satisfaction scores and address concerns.
  • Participate in P&L reviews and the budgeting process for all areas of responsibility.
  • Lead departmental meetings, ensuring clear communication of goals.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train F&B associates.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and discipline staff as necessary.
  • Maintain a professional and personable appearance in accordance with hotel standards.
