About The Position

Join our team and grow with us both professionally and personally! Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Director of Fitness & Rehabilitation Services position in Dunedin, FL. This role involves supervising and overseeing the Rehabilitation Services and Fitness Departments, including staff utilization, budgetary responsibility, internal marketing, support of well-being programs, departmental and regulatory compliance, and performing other related duties as required. The position offers exciting opportunities for professional growth in a friendly, slower-paced community environment providing holistic care, including prevention. The role includes specialized on-site training during work hours with CEUs, and the ability to build relationships by following patients across a continuum of care through inpatient, home health, outpatient, and fitness. Our clinically focused, patient-centered treatment decisions drive our programs, and we have a positive leadership philosophy that encourages therapists to provide input into programming, systems, and creative idea sharing. Additionally, due to our company being a non-profit organization, school loan forgiveness is available after 10 years.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a rehabilitation discipline (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology); Master's degree is preferred.
  • For SLP candidates, an active Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) is required.
  • Minimum of three years' direct patient care experience.
  • Minimum of one year management experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee the Rehabilitation Services and Fitness Departments.
  • Manage staff utilization and budgetary responsibilities.
  • Support internal marketing and well-being programs.
  • Ensure departmental and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
