About The Position

Monomoy Advisors is looking for an entrepreneurial, highly motivated, experienced, detail oriented and consultative professional to join our growing team as Director of FP&A. As a key member of the team, this individual will lead the analysis, preparation, and presentation of key business drivers and financial results to be used by the CEO, CFO, and President. This highly visible role includes frequent interactions with the CFO, Finance Leadership Team, and other senior leaders. In this highly visible role, the candidate will be responsible for company's day-to-day execution of the company’s global FP&A operations. They will lead company-wide processes including annual operating plan and long-range planning, as well as oversee the monthly forecasting process. This individual will work directly with leaders of all functional teams to assist in reporting, forecasting, and analyzing financial and operational results, as well as conducting analyses to support better business decisions. Additionally, this position includes responsibility for all daily activities for, and development of, a team of global employees. This role requires an experienced, hands-on finance leader who thrives on implementing systems and tools to scale early-stage performance to greater levels. Working closely with our CEO and Sr. management team, the incumbent will support strategic initiatives to help provide insightful analysis in support of business decision-making. The successful candidate will be hard-working, highly ethical, and able to think and act both strategically and independently, and drive projects forward. This position operates in a fast-paced environment and must be able to support senior leaders through effective communication, logical reasoning, and data focused solutions. The right individual will further establish processes, frameworks, and systems to scale the FP&A function with the growth of the company. Requirements

  • Excellent organization, problem solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • BA/BS in Business, preferably in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • 10-15 years in a FP&A role; leadership experience required.
  • Excellent financial modeling experience and skills.
  • Superior analytical and organizational abilities with a keen focus on detail and 100% accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner, whether through presentations, reports, or other means.
  • Strong management and supervisory skills.
  • Global software company experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills.
  • Experience with ERP, MES, and other relevant operational applications within Biotech/ Pharma industry.
  • Prior experience in a startup, fast growth company with understanding of how to scale business systems is a plus.
  • Comfort in driving sales activities including leveraging existing as well as building new relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Direct procedures and policies for financial operations.
  • Prepare annual budget/monthly rolling forecasts incorporating strategic goals and objectives of the annual plan.
  • Monitor and analyze budget variances throughout the year, utilize data for updating forecasts, administer and report on approved budget.
  • Work with senior leadership team to develop long-range plans/financial models and policies.
  • Maintain effective working relationships to ensure teamwork in achieving corporate goals.
  • Prepare 5-year financial forecasts.
  • Set and implement strategic vision of plans to meet/exceed market demand.
  • Participate in corporate strategic planning activities and contribute to departmental and cross-functional teams to achieve goals and ensure future success.
  • Strategically leverage the organization’s resources in support of its mission and goals, contributing to the financial integrity and sustainability of the plan.
  • Prioritize and ensure key strategic projects are implemented within budget and timely.
  • Protect company against known financial risks related to IT, Compliance and Provider Contracting areas.
  • Create and implement strategies to minimize/mitigate risk.
  • Continuously identify new risk and mitigation plan.
  • Design the long-term strategic plan for capital expenditures via the forward-looking budget management of purchases of IT assets, leasehold improvement, building, fixtures, equipment, and other capital assets.
  • Manage and forecast cash flows, reinsurance, treasury/investments, and taxes.
  • Develop, evolve, and publish regular KPI/metric reporting to track results and identify trends.
  • Build a high-caliber team properly aligned with the growth of the business.
