About The Position

The position involves adhering to department service standards of accuracy, consistency, and trustworthiness, as well as leadership standards of timely, effective, and empathetic service. The role requires interaction with guests and employees to positively affect their experiences and demonstrate resilience in dealing with difficult situations across various business conditions. The individual will work effectively and courteously with fellow employees and is responsible for planning, communicating, and implementing procedures for the efficient operation of their areas of responsibility. This includes coordinating the accurate preparation and distribution of the property's financial reporting, monitoring and analyzing financial performance results, managing property cash, and ensuring the accuracy of the balance sheet. The role also involves maintaining department compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, government regulations, and internal controls, while actively participating in the property executive management staff. Responsibilities include reviewing staffing levels, delegating authority, overseeing the development and evaluation of finance employees, facilitating monthly P&L meetings, acting as a liaison with auditors, and overseeing the annual budgeting and forecasting processes. The individual assumes overall responsibility for the performance of the Finance Department and the property, issues performance documents, and performs other duties as assigned, completing all company-required training within designated time frames.

Requirements

  • Ten to fifteen years experience in accounting as a controller or financial manager/officer.
  • 4-year degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Graduate degree (MBA) with finance management preferred.
  • CPA or other professional accreditation preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification.
  • Must complete all required company training.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee development, interviewing, hiring, and evaluating of finance employees.
  • Facilitate monthly P&L meetings with all departments.
  • Act as liaison with internal and external auditors.
  • Maintain interpersonal working relationships among employees.
  • Oversee annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assume overall responsibility for Finance Department performance.
  • Issue performance documents, including disciplinary actions and reviews.
  • Complete all company-required training.
