About The Position

The Director of Finance for the Media Lab will provide financial leadership and strategic direction to support the Lab's vision and mission. This role involves aligning financial strategies with both short- and long-term goals, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The Director will play a critical role in shaping the Lab's financial future through effective financial planning, modeling, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a quantitative field.
• Minimum of eight years of financial management experience, preferably in an academic or research setting.
• Strong organizational, leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Advanced quantitative skills, including proficiency in Excel and financial reporting.
• Proven track record in managing individuals and teams.
• Ability to work effectively within a diverse academic and professional community.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with MIT financial systems.
