About The Position

We are looking for a Finance Director to support the PacSci EMC business unit, an operating company under the Fortive umbrella. In this influential role, you will need to be a strong leader with a positive approach. You must have the ability to partner with department leaders to move the business forward. Your objective will be to support growth and margin expansion while also ensuring strict adherence to business ethics and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required
  • Ten plus years of progressive experience, including a background in companies with revenues of $100 million or more
  • Experience supporting commercial and operational functions in a manufacturing business
  • Demonstrated history of accomplishments in complex and fast-paced operating environments, drive and implement change, and standardize processes
  • Strong understanding of financial statement functions and reporting
  • Ability to analyze strategic initiatives, influence data driven decisions, navigate ambiguity, solve multifaceted problems
  • Strong business partnership, leadership, interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse personalities in a highly matrixed organization
  • Proven track record of creative problem solving and change management
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices
  • Strong leading, coaching, analytic and influence skills to manage and motivate a staff of financial professionals and to guide analysis of complex issues
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive attitude, coupled with flawless execution skills
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in continuous improvement and lean processes

Nice To Haves

  • MBA and/or CPA
  • Experience with USG accounting and compliance
  • Experience with financial and operating functions in a manufacturing business
  • Understanding of lean problem-solving methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage site P&L, balance sheet, and working capital performance
  • Partner with senior leaders for goal setting, managing performance to forecasts, and influence business growth, margin expansion, and strategic initiatives
  • Proactively manage planning cycles including budgets, forecasts, and strategy planning
  • Prepare detailed, accurate, timely reporting to brief senior management and corporate stakeholders on financial and operational execution
  • Understand business drivers leveraging financials to drive the business forward while managing risks and opportunities effectively
  • Collaborate with all departments to support business functions including pricing, contracts, manufacturing, supply chain, strategic analytics with a focus on growth and margin expansion
  • Strong people leader with a track record of driving business results through building engaged, high-performing teams
