Under the direction of the Executive Director of Finance, Hospital Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and indirect direction of the Regional CFO, serves as the hospital's Director of Finance. Responsible for overseeing preparation of accurate and timely operating budgets, capital budget and regulatory reporting. Responsible to proactively create tools and reports to transform data into information to provide insight to executive team and operational management for controlling costs, managing change, improving performance and creating organizational value. This includes, but is not limited to, daily, weekly and monthly expense monitoring tools, proformas, hindsight analyses of capital, supply and new-service expenditures and other reports for local and AHS management, finance committee, board of directors and other constituents as requested. Responsible to develop and implement human systems to ensure management of expenses and capital in relationship to hospital revenues and budget. Must be proficient in communicating complex topics in a clear and concise manner that is easily understood by individuals without formal financial training. Must demonstrate ability to transfer knowledge to others in a way that is useful in improving the financial and mission performance of the respective areas of responsibility and the hospital in total.
