About The Position

The Director of Finance serves as a key member of Bluejack National’s leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial functions across the property, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls. This role ensures the financial integrity of the Club’s operations and supports strategic decision-making to achieve long-term profitability and sustainability. The ideal candidate will bring deep hospitality finance experience—preferably from private clubs, resorts, or mixed-use hospitality and residential developments, and will thrive in a dynamic, service-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a hospitality, resort, or private club environment.
  • Proven track record of financial leadership in multi-entity or mixed-use operations (hospitality, golf, residential, or amenities).
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems (Buildertrend, QuickBooks, Jonas Club, or similar).
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong cross-departmental relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and commitment to Bluejack National’s values.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and meet the driver safety policy requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CFO and executive leadership team to develop and execute financial strategies that support the Club’s growth and operational goals.
  • Provide clear financial insight and analysis to guide decision-making across hospitality operations, amenities, and residential development.
  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes; monitor performance and recommend proactive adjustments.
  • Present monthly and quarterly financial reports with analysis of key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to department heads, providing guidance on financial performance and resource allocation.
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings, financial statements, and management reports.
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and external regulations.
  • Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors and external consultants as needed.
  • Standardize financial reporting across all departments and business units.
  • Collaborate closely with department heads (Golf, Food & Beverage, Lodging, Spa, Real Estate, and Membership) to analyze financial performance, labor costs, and operational efficiencies.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to the hospitality and club environment.
  • Support pricing strategies, capital planning, and investment analyses for new amenities or enhancements.
  • Work with Membership and Marketing teams to forecast and analyze dues, fees, and member revenue trends.
  • Partner with the development and construction teams to monitor project budgets, cost tracking, and cash flow related to ongoing residential and capital projects.
  • Provide financial oversight of project funding, progress billings, and cost-to-complete forecasting.
  • Support feasibility analyses for future development phases and capital investments.
  • Manage daily cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships.
  • Monitor and forecast short- and long-term cash requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with loan agreements and oversee debt administration and reporting.
  • Evaluate treasury tools and recommend enhancements for better visibility and efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote collaboration across departments to align financial practices with operational excellence.
