Director of Finance
About The Position
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Finance – Managed Care to join a high-impact finance leadership team. This role creates an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance leader to step in, make an immediate impact, and be groomed for promotion to VP of Finance within the next few years. You will work side-by-side with the VP of Finance, influencing all fiscal matters related to a $180M managed care portfolio, while helping guide the organization through growth, complexity, and strategic decision-making. As Director of Finance, you will play a critical role in both day-to-day operations and long-term financial strategy, including: Partnering closely with the VP of Finance on all financial matters impacting managed care operations Leading budget development, forecasting, and financial planning Supporting financial operations, managed care contracting, and business analytics Providing insight-driven analysis to support strategic planning and executive decision-making Managing and mentoring a lean, high-performing two-person finance leadership team Delivering clear, actionable financial insights in a fast-paced, highly regulated healthcare environment We’re looking for a confident, mature finance leader who thrives in partnership, brings strong judgment, and enjoys rolling up their sleeves.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting
- 5+ years of people leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of healthcare finance; experience with Managed Care, HMO, and/or Medicaid highly preferred
- Background in public accounting and/or corporate finance strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel modeling and analytical skills
- Proven ability to think critically, solve problems, and operate independently
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Nice To Haves
- CPA and/or Master’s degree strongly preferred
- Experience with PeopleSoft or Workday is a plus
