About The Position

Ron Jaworski Golf is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Finance to lead our financial and administrative operations. Based at our corporate headquarters in Mt. Laurel, NJ, this pivotal role serves as the financial backbone of the organization while providing executive oversight to the Human Resources function. You will be responsible for the oversight of all financial activities—ensuring the highest level of accuracy in accounting and reporting—while managing the HR department to maintain a high-performing, compliant, and engaged workforce across our portfolio of properties.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with a proven track record of overseeing administrative or HR functions.
  • Leadership: Strong experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and reporting directly to executive ownership and the president.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial software (e.g., Sage, NetSuite) and HRIS/Payroll platforms.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex financial and personnel data into actionable strategic insights.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership & Department Management Direct Supervision: Manage and mentor the Controller and the accounting staff, fostering a culture of professional development, accountability, and precision.
  • Departmental Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Process Improvement: Continuous evaluation and enhancement of internal controls and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to protect company assets and improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate and oversee annual tax return preparation and submission Communication with owners/partners
  • Accounting & Reporting Accuracy Revenue Oversight: Ensure the accurate accounting of all monies entering and exiting the company across all golf courses and business units.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements to the President.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide regular variance analysis to ensure the company remains on track with its financial goals.
  • Human Resources Oversight Department Management: Direct supervision of the Human Resources Generalist, providing high-level guidance on recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Compliance & Risk: Ensure company-wide compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, and NJ-specific labor regulations).
  • Benefits & Payroll: Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs and ensure the seamless integration of HR data with payroll systems.
  • Culture Development: Partner with the President to develop and implement initiatives that enhance company culture and employee retention.
  • Banking & Strategic Relationships Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for current banking and insurance partners, ensuring all covenants are met and credit facilities are managed effectively.
  • Business Development: Proactively identify and establish new financial relationships and ideas that could benefit the company’s long-term growth and stability.
  • Comply with all existing lender reporting requirements.
