About The Position

The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the accounting and IT departments based out of Mayville, WI but serving multiple locations across the United States. This individual will play a critical role in working with the executive leadership team to develop and execut strategies to ensure performance, sales and gross profit generation, efficiencies, exceptional customer satisfaction and building relationships. They will be a strategic leader, driving business and creating a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally within manufacturing or industrial envirnonments.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory controls, and plant financial management.
  • Advanced proficiency in analytics and applying data to decision making.
  • Strategic and anayltical thinker.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Executive presence and communication skills with ability to build relationships with people at various levels of the organization.
  • Operationally minded and detail oriented.
  • Decisive and calm under pressure.
  • Talent for fostering loyalty, cooperation and communication among various departments.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, helping shape company strategy and long-term financial direction.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational and investment decisions.
  • Lead financial modeling for expansions, acquisitions, new products, and investment decisions.
  • Direct forecasting, analyze plant performance, margins, production costs to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Ensure accuracy with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Manage external audits, tax planning, and regulatory reporting.
  • Lead cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysys and margin reporting.
  • Partner with operations to optimize labor, material, and overhead costs.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, capital structure, financing strategies, budgeting and planning.
  • Create and maintain banking relationships, credit facilities, financing arrangements, and treasury operations.
  • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage property and casualty insurances, participate in benefit offering decisions and management.
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing finance and accounting team.
  • Develop succession plans and ensure strong internal controls and processes.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration between finance, operations, supply chain, sales, service, HR, and other departments within organization.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Travel to our other facilities will be required on a regular basis.
