Responsible for preparation of financial statements, projections, budgets, and other reports. Manages the accounting department and oversees all aspects of the firm’s financial transactions, payroll, time and billing, collections and trust accounting and reporting. Works with outside accountants to prepare year-end tax returns and reports. Responsible for design and review of management reports, internal control systems, accounting policies and procedures, attorney performance and accountability measures. Maintains bank relationships and arranges debt financing. The role will require frequent interaction with key stakeholders in the firm (partners, practice leaders). In order to be successful, the candidate will need to have strong communication skills and the ability to effectively identify, assess and address business issues. The candidate must also be highly organized and able to perform at high levels in a fast-paced, multi-office work environment. Critical thinking, problem solving, and flexibility is critical to this position.
