About The Position

We are looking for a strategic Director of Finance to deliver world-class finance leadership to high-growth SaaS and services companies. This role serves as the fractional finance leader for Topo’s customers and acts as a hands-on thought partner to CEOs and executive teams at dynamic, fast-growing organizations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Significant experience working with venture-backed companies, including investor relations, board presentations, and cap table modeling
  • Experience managing or directing team members
  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of intellectual rigor
  • Proven track record as a hands-on, cross-functional operator
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey the right information at the right time to drive alignment and stakeholder buy-in

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale finance and accounting infrastructure for high-growth clients
  • Lead and direct Topo’s analysts and accounting team to deliver exceptional client outcomes
  • Develop, maintain, and refine budgets and financial forecasts for venture-backed startups
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for executive teams and boards
  • Partner with executive leadership to execute financing strategy, including equity and debt raises, ensuring companies are appropriately capitalized
  • Identify, onboard, and implement accounting and reporting systems, ensuring scalable controls and processes are in place to support future growth
  • Support capacity planning initiatives, including headcount, quotas, and commissions, as needed
  • Analyze financial results and communicate insights to drive decision-making
  • Own the annual financial planning process, including budgeting and FP&A reporting for key stakeholders (CEO, leadership team, board)
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to CEOs and senior leaders on strategic initiatives
  • Implement scalable processes and systems that enable and accelerate growth
