About The Position

The Director of Finance – Foundation is responsible for providing strategic and operational financial leadership for Parkland Health’s Foundation. This is a director-level role with hands-on responsibilities, requiring flexibility to support day-to-day financial operations while ensuring compliance, integrity, and alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Required)
7+ years of experience in a financial leadership role (Required)
4+ years of experience in the non-profit sector (Required)
Strong leadership, coaching, and influencing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Advanced knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
Ability to lead complex initiatives in high-pressure environments
Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Accounting, MBA, or Public Administration
Foundation financial management experience
Healthcare finance experience (large hospital systems preferred)
Grants management experience

Responsibilities

Direct financial operations and ensure the financial integrity of the Foundation
Act as liaison between the Foundation and Parkland Health system
Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and financial plans
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements
Establish and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies
Lead, coach, and manage finance staff to optimize team performance
Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices
