As we continue to grow, we are looking for a finance leader who can help strengthen our financial foundation while supporting strategic growth and operational excellence. As CAF’s Director of Finance and Accounting, you will serve as the company’s senior finance leader and strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team. This role oversees the company’s accounting operations, financial systems, and financial planning processes while helping guide key business decisions and long-term growth initiatives. You will lead a small but capable finance and accounting team and ensure that CAF maintains strong financial discipline while continuing to scale.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of finance, accounting management experience
  • Excellent leadership skills and interpersonal abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or comparable work experience)
  • Proven success in a fast-paced and dynamic company
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning / organizational skills
  • Experience in partnering with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational habits
  • Professional and consistent work habits, strong work ethic, driven to achieve personal and company goals
  • Reside within 18 miles from CAF Office (Maple Valley, 98038)
  • Satisfy pre-employment drug testing and background check

Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership & Strategy Partner with the CEO and leadership team to guide financial strategy, long-term planning, and key business decisions.
  • Lead company forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis to improve visibility into margins, growth, and operational efficiency.
  • Support strategic initiatives including market expansion, capital allocation decisions, and acquisition opportunities.
  • Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
  • Ensure accurate financial statements, strong internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, including oversight of CAF’s international entity (CAF BV – Netherlands).
  • Coordinate with external CPA and global tax partners for annual filings, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Partner with the CEO in managing banking relationships and treasury strategy.
  • Maintain visibility into company cash position and forecasting while developing strategies to responsibly deploy excess cash.
  • Oversee payment systems, credit facilities, and insurance coverage while managing financial risk.
  • Own CAF’s financial systems and related technology platforms, managing external partners supporting systems such as Dynamics GP, Avalara, SmartConnect, and Power BI.
  • Lead financial process improvements that increase efficiency, reporting accuracy, and data accessibility.
  • Support and help lead the company’s planned ERP transition within the next 12 months.
  • Lead, coach, and develop CAF’s finance and accounting team, including Staff Accountant, Senior Accounting Specialist (AR/AP), Order Entry & Invoicing Specialist, and Data Analyst.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Align team priorities and workflows to support company goals and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Support acquisition opportunities through financial modeling, diligence preparation, and integration planning.
  • Partner with external advisors including CPAs, legal counsel, and investment banking partners when pursuing transactions.
  • Lead special projects that improve operational efficiency, financial visibility, and business performance.
