About The Position

The Director of Field Operations at Veev is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of field teams and subcontractors involved in the construction of modular homes. This role ensures the timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery of products while maintaining safety standards. The Director will lead the Superintendent Group, implement effective fieldwork processes, and collaborate with various departments to manage production schedules. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience, including 3 years in a General Superintendent or equivalent senior field leadership position.
• Proven record of leading large field organizations in residential construction.
• Experience with heavy and light gauge steelwork.
• Strong conflict management and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop direct reports.
• Experience with scheduling using MS Project and/or Primavera P6 software.
• Proficiency in field technologies, including BIM360 and Bluebeam.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of field teams and subcontractors to ensure quality delivery of Veev homes.
• Lead and support the Superintendent Group in executing field operations to the highest performance level.
• Create and implement processes for effective fieldwork, including safety and efficiency measures.
• Collaborate with departments to build production and delivery schedules.
• Manage execution of daily field operations across various construction sites.
• Enforce compliance with company policies, safety rules, and regulations.
• Travel between job sites, factory, and vendors as required.
• Communicate with Operations regarding RFIs, material submittals, and site inspections.
• Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites and maintain daily logs and punch lists.
• Plan and manage projects from mobilization to completion.
