About The Position

The KGI School of Pharmacy is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Director of Experiential Education for the PharmD Program. This full-time role also includes responsibilities as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Sciences or Professor of Practice. The Director will report directly to the Dean of the School of Pharmacy and will play a crucial role in shaping the experiential education component of the PharmD curriculum. Founded in 1997, Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) is the first higher education institution in the United States dedicated exclusively to education and research in applied life sciences. KGI offers innovative postgraduate degrees and certificates that integrate various disciplines, including life and health sciences, business, pharmacy, engineering, and genetics, with a strong emphasis on hands-on industry experiences and team collaborations. The Director of Experiential Education will be responsible for evaluating clinical sites, developing preceptors, and ensuring quality assurance within the Office of Experiential Education. This role requires collaboration with the healthcare community to establish partnerships and placements for faculty and students. The position involves significant administrative duties, including overseeing operational and strategic aspects of the experiential education program, managing the Office of Experiential Education team, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. The Director will also be involved in teaching relevant courses, contributing to the academic mission of the School of Pharmacy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pharmacy education, clinical experience, and a proven track record of leadership in an academic setting. The role demands excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
