About The Position

To assist the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics with the day-to-day management and administration with apparel and equipment. This role ensures the efficient, safe and sanitary management of a Division I athletic equipment department, facilitating optimal performance and compliance.

Requirements

• Knowledge of all student-athlete safety and welfare items, especially concussion management.
• Knowledge of NCAA and conference branding/logo policies and procedures.
• Ability to work varying schedules (evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.).
• Ability to travel.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.

Nice To Haves

• AEMA Certification
• 5 years' experience as an athletic equipment manager with collegiate or related professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the collaboration with coaches to plan and prepare apparel ordering, embroidery, and distribution to all student-athletes.
• Lead the administrative responsibilities that include but are not limited to: purchasing on-field equipment used for practice/competition and reconcile purchasing card.
• Oversee all equipment-related needs for multiple sports, including Fall and Spring sports.
• Manage student assistants and part-time staff to assist with all the laundry needs for every sport, ensuring staff can operate laundry equipment.
• Oversee and manage the apparel/uniform inventories for each sport assigned to the position.
• Update inventory spreadsheets, communicate orders to the Athletics Business Office, and meet frequently with coaches.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned, including some travel to away competitions.
