About The Position

Trinity Oaks is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Environmental Services to join our team. The Director of Environmental Services will be responsible for organizing, directing, and supervising employees to provide housekeeping and laundry services necessary to maintain a sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents.

Requirements

  • Education: High school graduate or higher education preferred.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in housekeeping and/or laundry in a healthcare facility.
  • Skills/Abilities: Proven ability to organize and direct housekeeping and laundry functions in a healthcare facility.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge of state laws governing housekeeping and laundry functions in healthcare facilities, and technical skills to operate various housekeeping and laundry equipment.
  • Good visual acuity and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to climb small step ladders, stoop, and bend at the waist repeatedly.
  • Occasional outdoor exposure and potential exposure to blood and body fluids.
  • Exposure to cleaning solvents and chemicals.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of supervisory experience in environmental services.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement departmental objectives and programs to achieve organizational goals.
  • Schedule hours, assign duties, and manage areas of responsibility for departmental staff.
  • Develop and review departmental policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and recommend departmental budgets, estimate needs for physical facilities, supplies, and equipment, and maintain adequate supplies.
  • Establish and review standards for measuring the quality and quantity of services provided.
  • Provide and implement in-service training programs for all departmental staff.
  • Collaborate with administrative staff and other departments to plan services for residents and facility policies.
  • Maintain an effective system of records and reports.
  • Implement corrective measures for deficiencies cited by inspection teams.
  • Interview applicants, recommend hiring and firing, and conduct performance reviews for departmental personnel.
  • Ensure the use of safety standards and maintain a safe environment.
