About The Position

The Director of Enterprise Risk and Assets is responsible for the Enterprise Commercial Insurance, Health and Safety, Risk Management, and Loss Prevention and Security functions of the organization. This position is responsible for the overall planning, directing, and compliance of policies, procedures, and systems used to identify, assess, and manage or mitigate operational or enterprise risk factors that could impact the reputation, safety, security, or financial success of the organization. Key responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date regulatory knowledge, evaluating current and proposed operational systems, determining risk exposure or potential liability, and managing emergency and business continuity protocols. The Director of Enterprise Risk and Assets leads the organization in providing for a safe and healthy work environment for team members, program participants, customers, and volunteers while ensuring physical security, and protection of facilities and assets. This Director has dotted line responsibility for enterprise compliance and CARF certification.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree AND 6 years of experience required.
  • OR Master's degree AND 3 years of experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • OSHA reporting and oversight for multi-divisional organization.
  • Ability to develop and lead large-scale safety training and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of risk management, safety, and/or insurance in a multi-divisional organization.
  • Candidates are expected to provide current clearances (Child Abuse, FBI Fingerprints, and PATCH) prior to first day of employment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Risk Management (ARM) certificate or other related insurance designations preferred
  • Supervisory experience 2 years or more highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide input and support during the planning process relating to new opportunities and sites.
  • Collect data, review and report on risk factors, exposure, success of mitigation strategies and other such metrics necessary to continuously improve the organizational ability to detect and respond to risks and liabilities
  • Develop, oversee, revise and/or update all Risk Management policies and procedures including Risk Management and Insurance, Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Loss Prevention, and related.
  • Ensure and monitor compliance with OSHA, CARF, certification, licensure and/or applicable regulatory requirements relating to risk management, safety and health.
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters related to Risk Management policies and recommend needed changes.
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of staff relating to the full complement of the Risk Management department operations including but not limited to recruiting, hiring, evaluating, managing performance, and terminating department employees
  • Supervise staff’s dotted-line compliance work and reporting with all enterprise divisions.
  • Support organization training, development, risk management and other key operational areas, such as related committees and insurance coverage/claims programming.
  • Providing support and guidance relating to insurance requirements for contracts, the independent contractor process, certificates of insurance, bonds, and other insurance-related needs.
  • Oversite of the annual renewal process, working with insurance and internal departments to ensure adequate coverages are in place to support the changing needs of the organization.
