About The Position

The Director of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a senior-level position within the Information Technology department of the City of Cambridge. This role is responsible for defining and leading the City's long-range strategic ERP goals, collaborating with executive leadership in HR and Finance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with a comprehensive understanding of ERP systems and software. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology required; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Extensive experience in leading complex ERP implementations in large-scale organizations.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage resources and stakeholder expectations.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Workday, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Proven experience in business process reengineering and change management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including team mentoring and collaboration.
  • Professional certifications related to ERP systems are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based ERP solutions and migration experience.
  • Expertise in translating technical literature into business language.
  • Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to end-user needs.
