About The Position

The Enterprise Payments Chief of Staff and Project Management team is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director level leader to establish and lead our new centralized Program Management Office (PMO). The Enterprise Payments organization sits within the Retail bank and is at the heart of our company's financial infrastructure, supporting the most critical domains of payment processing. We are driven by our commitment to ensure flawless execution, regulatory compliance, and deliver innovative products that shape the future of payments. In addition to our core payments processing, we provide oversight for end-to-end payment strategy, operations, and risk management for all payment types across the enterprise. As the Director of the Enterprise Payments Program Management Office, you will be responsible for standing up the new PMO, leveraging elements of our current project management practices, while building new frameworks, processes, and governance to support enterprise-wide priorities. You will work closely with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure strategic initiatives are executed effectively, aligned to business goals, and delivering measurable outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader and experienced program manager to transform our high performing Project Management team into a strategic Program Management Office and drive the top strategic initiatives across the Enterprise Payments organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry
  • At least 5 years of experience leading in process, project or program management
  • At least 5 years of people management experience
  • At least 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office or Google Suite

Nice To Haves

  • At least 10 years of project management or program management experience
  • At least 6 years in the Banking Industry
  • At least 3 years of experience in payments
  • At least 2 years of experience establishing and managing a project management office in a matrixed environment
  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

Responsibilities

  • Define the vision, structure, processes, and tools for a best-in-class Program Management Office
  • Ensure programs and projects are prioritized, sequenced, and managed to deliver against business objectives
  • Build upon current project management capabilities while introducing new standards, templates, and tools to drive consistency and efficiency
  • Establish governance frameworks, performance dashboards, and executive reporting to enable transparency and accountability
  • Lead a team of program/project managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement and creating an inclusive and inspiring work environment
  • Partner with executives and stakeholders to align on priorities, manage expectations, and communicate progress
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and interconnections across initiatives and drive solutions to keep programs on track
  • Define success metrics and ensure delivery of measurable business outcomes, not just project outputs
