As we transition from legacy systems to a future-ready enterprise platform, we need a visionary leader to guide our ERP and CRM transformation, drive enterprise integration, and elevate our software portfolio. Your expertise will be critical in shaping our build-versus-buy strategy, optimizing business processes, and ensuring our applications align with the highest standards of security, compliance, and performance. The role is based at Grain Millers headquarters in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, with travel to manufacturing sites as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in enterprise applications, including ERP and packaged software
  • Proven ability to manage software vendor relationships and lead multi-vendor evaluations
  • Strong understanding of business process improvement and change management principles
  • Experience contributing to enterprise architecture and build-versus-buy decisions
  • Demonstrated success in driving IT portfolio and project management practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and business teams
  • Track record of mentoring and developing high-performing technical teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead the multi-vendor ERP assessment and selection process, from requirements gathering to implementation planning
  • Manage relationships with software vendors and service providers to ensure alignment and accountability
  • Establish and apply evaluation criteria for packaged software across the enterprise
  • Contribute to enterprise architecture decisions, including build-versus-buy strategies
  • Develop and drive IT portfolio and project management practices across the department
  • Modernize business processes in alignment with new technology capabilities
  • Ensure enterprise applications comply with internal policies, data security standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of application engineers, analysts, and support staff
