About The Position

The Director of Engineering is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of the property, ensuring safety, security, and asset protection. This role involves managing budgets, capital projects, and preventative maintenance while developing strategies to meet guest and employee expectations. The Director leads the emergency response team and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 6 years of experience in engineering and maintenance, or a 2-year degree in a related field with 4 years of experience.
• Technical training in HVAC-R, Electrical, or Plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Manage the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.
• Develop and manage the Engineering budget and ensure alignment with property goals.
• Oversee execution of long-term preventative maintenance and asset protection plans.
• Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations regarding property safety and maintenance.
• Administer service contracts to support property needs and manage controllable expenses.
• Supervise construction projects to ensure timely completion within budget.
• Communicate departmental goals and performance to the engineering team and property leadership.
