About The Position

Trusted Platform Cloud (TPC) is a dedicated and sovereign Google Cloud Platform "universe" that is operated by a local partner that is located in the jurisdiction providing strong data residency guarantees for customer and operational data. It continues to receive new features and security updates at the same pace as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) that is available to the public. The first TPC regions are in France and Germany to comply with the local regulations to offer a sovereign hyperscale Cloud Platform with AI capabilities. TPC enables customers to migrate workloads that were previously restricted to on-premise data centers to maintain their strict security and sovereign posture. The TPC Engineering teams build the core technologies and infrastructure systems that enable Change Management, Monitoring, Auditing and Operational tooling for TPC universes, to enable TPC universes to offer the same capabilities, products, features, security, performance, and quality that customers demand from Google Cloud Platform. The teams are also responsible for ensuring the development and operational experience for Google engineers remains consistent with Google standards. As TPC replicates the entire Google Cloud Platform into multiple universes, you will engage and work with every infrastructure and product team that contributes to GCP. For products that are critical to the success of the business, your teams will own the engineering outcomes and make "white glove" engineering investments to make them available in the TPC universes. You will work closely with external operating partner teams in local jurisdictions in order to align on common goals to meet joint business objectives. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
15 years of experience as an engineering leader.
Experience building and leading teams responsible for building critical systems infrastructure.

5 years of executive leadership experience in large, cross-functional, and global engineering organizations.
Experience with building and operating planet-scale distributed systems in a highly security sensitive environment with excellent reliability, performance, and efficiency.
Experience as an operations oriented leader with the ability to set a outlook, inspire, execute, and generate followership.
Experience with building a culture of customer focus, engineering agility and structured decision making.
Understanding of software development practices and testing to ensure the highest standards of compliance, performance, and functionality.
Excellent communicator and team player, possessing broad managerial, critical problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Build a community of executive leaders who can drive the technical decision making and prioritization across capabilities of the platform.
Understand the customer workloads that TPC attracts and work towards providing a high quality experience for them to migrate and do well on the platform.
Evolve systems and processes with the local operating partner to scale with customers, workload characteristics, products, and operational metrics.
Provide executive leadership, technical guidance, and drive innovation to support our strategic opportunities to leverage TPC technology to achieve their business objectives.
Collaborate with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) product teams and ensure that their experience to support TPC universes is unparallel.
