About The Position

This position provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the university's entire fleet of endpoint devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and virtual desktops. The Director is responsible for the full lifecycle management of these assets, ensuring they are deployed, managed, secured, and maintained to support the university's academic and administrative functions. This role exists to create a stable, reliable, and secure computing environment that enhances the productivity and user experience for all faculty, staff, and students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on endpoint systems.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity, leading technical teams.
  • Expert-level knowledge of modern endpoint management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune, Jamf Pro, VMWare Workspace ONE).
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security principles, including patch management, vulnerability management, disk encryption, and anti-malware solutions.
  • Experience with operating system deployment, configuration management, and software packaging/distribution.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management and vendor negotiations.

  • Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or relevant technical certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing the strategic vision and roadmap for endpoint management services.
  • Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of endpoint engineers and specialists.
  • Overseeing the procurement, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of all university-managed endpoint devices.
  • Enforcing endpoint security policies, including patching, encryption, antivirus, and compliance.
  • Managing the university's endpoint management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune/SCCM, Jamf).
  • Overseeing the budget for endpoint hardware, software, and related services.
  • Managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts for endpoint-related products and services
