Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource, Labor, Education or other related field plus an additional 7 years related experience, or equivalent, for a total education/experience of 13 years.
  • Juris Doctorate, Ph.D, or Ed.D preferred.
  • Must have at least 5 years of management/supervision experience.
  • Investigation, Negotiation, Leadership and/or Change Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide advice, support and assistance by interpreting policies and procedures and by counseling the principals, managers, directors, and other employees on employment, harassment, grievances and other personnel matters and procedures.
  • Direct the preparation and maintenance of a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records, correspondence, and files related to assigned services, activities, and operations.
  • Collaborate with principals and managers to identify possible non-renewal candidates and actively monitor and participate in the non-renewal process.
  • Investigate and resolve employment related complaints and grievances to ensure proper policies and/or MOU language are adhered to.
  • Manage and analyze requests for fit for duty.
  • Conduct employee mediations to resolve employee related conflicts to ensure a harmonious work environment.
  • Provide routine training for principals, supervisors, and administrators on the progressive discipline process, policy adherence, and MOU language.
  • Attend collaborative conferencing.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on employee relations metrics and trends.
  • Oversee the complaint and grievance process to ensure the appropriate appeal steps are followed in accordance with Board Policy and/or MOU.
  • Administer employee disciplinary hearings and actions due to documentation submitted by principals, administrators, managers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
