Director of Emergency Services
About The Position
Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services for a permanent leadership opportunity in Frankfort, Kentucky. The Director of Emergency Services ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function, staffing, and performance of the Emergency Department. This role is responsible for forecasting, planning, budget monitoring, and operational leadership while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The Director partners closely with executive leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support departmental objectives, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence. This leader plays a critical role in developing and implementing strategies, policies, and procedures that align with hospital goals and support emergency services growth and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Bachelor’s Degree (non-nursing) or approved education plan required.
- Minimum of 1 year of applicable Emergency Services leadership experience required.
- Strong Emergency Department operational leadership experience required.
- Proven track record of performance metrics, accomplishments, and outcomes must be clearly documented on resume.
- Energetic, team-oriented leadership style with strong communication and accountability skills.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- 3+ years of applicable Emergency Services leadership experience preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in a similar or larger Emergency Department with high patient volume.
