The Director of Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance (ERSEA) will oversee the Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance of children and families enrolled in our early learning programs. This includes Early Head Start, Head Start, Prevention Initiative, and Preschool for All. This role is responsible for the development of policies and procedures that align with city, state, and federal guidance to ensure all children/families are eligible for services.

  • Responsible for development and implementation of policies and procedures that align with funding agencies.
  • Responsible for the management and implementation of best practices of industry standards to support ERSEA and Parent Family and Community Engagement.
  • In collaboration, site program staff serve as the team leader in implementing ongoing recruitment events and activities within each assigned community.
  • Responsible for establishing and supporting networking partnerships with community organizations to support the recruitment and enrollment of eligible families and support resources for families.
  • Works collaboratively with site staff and the YMCA Marketing Department to develop and implement recruitment strategies and enhance communication to families and communities through a social media platform.
  • Responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and tracking of an annual waiting list of eligible children and families.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing and accessing resources to support staff in understanding ERSEA and Parent Engagement per state and federal guidelines and requirements.
  • Monitor, track, and follow up on service delivery requirements and content milestones to ensure service delivery in the content areas assigned to align with city, state, and federal requirements.
  • Manages and support each site in the implementation of a research-based parent engagement curriculum with an intentional focus to improve father/male involvement.
  • Provide consultation, technical assistance, resources, training and support to all childcare staff in family engagement and supportive services.
  • Collaborate with management team to develop an integrated a seamless system of services delivery for children and families to support eligibility, and enrollment, transitional services, attendance, parent family and community engagement services and outcomes.
  • Team leader for Family Support staff, providing training, coaching and guidance to develop childcare staff and optimize team performance.
  • Discreetly handle sensitive information and always maintain confidentiality.
  • Works collaboratively with the Quality Compliance Manager in the development of the five year and annual update of the program community assessment.
  • Master's degree in social service, Ealy Childhood Administration and Management or Human Services, or a related field
  • At least 3- 5 years of experience in childcare or related field, providing a high-quality experience, and in a supervisory of leadership roles.
  • Background or experience with data systems to support reporting federal grant programming (Child Plus, COPA, CSD-CARES).
  • Experience knowledge and understanding of city, state and federal guidelines and regulations to determine children eligible for subsidy.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely present ideas and concepts and tailor communication to multiple audiences

  • Ability to keep detailed, accurate, and complete records and documentation as needed.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email; ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
  • Demonstrates evidence of YMCA Leader competencies in previous experience or practice.
