About The Position

The Director of Early Childhood Wing at Bethlehem Intergenerational Center is a full-time leadership role responsible for overseeing the Early Childhood program, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children from infancy through preschool. The director will collaborate with the senior wing component and lead a team of educators, promoting intergenerational relationships and high-quality early childhood education.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field, or an Associate's degree with 5 years of experience.
• 5 years of mid-level supervising experience.
• Experience as a lead teacher in an early childhood setting.
• Experience in supervision of staff or team leadership preferred but not required.
• Skills necessary to provide care and education to children.
• Good organizational and supervisory skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in early childhood education administration.
• Strong interpersonal skills to handle difficult situations.

Responsibilities

• Hire, lead, and coordinate Early Childhood Wing staff, including teachers and assistant teachers.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment that complies with all applicable regulations.
• Oversee curriculum and the quality of care and safety of each Early Childhood classroom.
• Develop and maintain open and effective communication with the BIC team and parents of the children.
• Promote the Early Childhood services of BIC and provide 'friendly visits' for new users.
• Serve as a representative of BIC to the wider community.
