About The Position

The Director of E3 (Experiential, Engaged, and Entrepreneurial) and Career Development leads the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) career development ecosystem, integrating experiential learning, curriculum, advising, alumni, and employer engagement. The role advances a model that embeds career development into academic pathways, shifting from traditional one-on-one advising toward a more curriculum-connected and experiential approach. In partnership with college leadership and Cornell Career Services, the Director will design a scalable, equitable service model that leverages digital tools, cohort-based programming, and peer advising, while reserving individual appointments for advanced guidance. The role also leads efforts to ensure all students complete meaningful experiential learning and supports the development of micro-credentials aligned with academic and career pathways. This role advances a shift toward career development as a shared academic responsibility, ensuring students graduate with the experiences and skills needed for lifelong success. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) Contract College position that is based in Ithaca, NY. This position follows a 4:1 campus-to-home hybrid work arrangement during the academic year and a 3:2 campus-to-home hybrid work arrangement during the summer. This hybrid work arrangement is subject to change at any time. Typical work hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:00am to 3:30pm on Fridays. The Office of Student Services collaborates with CALS students to help define and navigate their undergraduate journey, offering a centralized hub of resources that unlock transformative opportunities aligned with their academic goals. Students receive comprehensive guidance and support across various areas, including academic advising, resource navigation, degree tracking, career planning, experiential learning (such as research, internships, and international programs), skill development, graduate school preparation, and job search strategies.
