About the position

Carson-Newman University seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to serve as the Director of Dual Enrollment. This individual will oversee and expand the university's dual enrollment program, fostering partnerships with secondary schools to provide students with high-quality Christ-centered educational opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Christian education, strong administrative skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the dual enrollment program, including student recruitment, enrollment processes, and academic advising.
  • Create early college pathways leading to C-N associate degrees.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with homeschool co-ops, private Christian schools, and public secondary schools, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with state, institutional policies, and accreditation standards related to dual enrollment programs.
  • Collaborate with faculty to ensure the quality and alignment of dual enrollment courses with Carson-Newman's academic standards.
  • Collaborate with other university departments, including Admissions, Financial Aid, Institutional Effectiveness, and the Registrar, to ensure seamless program operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for dual enrollment students, parents, and partner school administrators.
  • Provide support to faculty to ensure student success in dual enrollment courses.
  • Facilitate orientation programs for dual enrollment students to help them integrate into Carson-Newman's academic community.
  • Assist school partners in identifying and preparing students for participation in dual enrollment opportunities.
  • Manage early college pathways leading to C-N associate degrees.
  • Manage program records, including student enrollment, grades, and progress.
  • Analyze program data to assess success and identify areas for growth.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the program to prospective students and schools.
  • Model and promote the university's Christ-centered mission and values in all aspects of the role.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students and partner schools, encouraging holistic development grounded in Christian principles.
  • Engage in professional development to remain informed about trends in dual enrollment and Christian education.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in education, administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as an administrator or academic coach in a Christian secondary school or coordinating shared programs between higher education and secondary schools.
  • Experience in secondary or higher education settings, particularly with dual enrollment programs.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to integrate faith and learning within an educational context.
  • Familiarity with state policies governing dual enrollment programs.
  • Commitment to Carson-Newman University's mission to help students reach their full potential as educated citizens and worldwide servant-leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
