About The Position
The Director of Diversity, Equity and Engagement (DEE) at Durham Academy is responsible for leading the school's initiatives to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all community members. Reporting directly to the Head of School, the Director acts as a strategic planner and resource, engaging with students, faculty, staff, families, alumni, and the broader community to promote diversity and equity. The role involves implementing the DEE Action Plan, supporting recruitment and retention efforts, and coordinating educational programs related to diversity and engagement.
