About The Position

Twin City Foods is a leading Frozen Vegetable Producer committed to delivering high-quality, nutritious, and sustainably sourced frozen vegetables to consumers worldwide. With a focus on innovation, quality assurance, and environmental responsibility, we have established ourselves as a key player in the frozen food industry. We are currently hiring a full-time Director of Distribution & Logistics. The Director of Distribution & Logistics will report to the Vice President of Operations. As a Director of Distribution & Logistics you will oversee all aspects of warehousing, logistics, export/import, and implementation of lean manufacturing processes in their areas of responsibility. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and effective distribution of our products, maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Directly responsible for both the strategic leadership and tactical management of Twin City Foods' (TCF) Transportation & Logistics Team, and both Internal & External Cold Storage Warehouse Operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in distribution, logistics, warehousing, and order management, preferably in the food processing industry.
• Proven experience in export/import operations and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in logistics and warehouse management software.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

• A Master's degree is preferred.
• Valid WA State driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for warehousing, logistics, and distribution to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage and oversee all warehousing operations, ensuring proper storage, handling, and inventory management of frozen vegetables.
• Coordinate and manage logistics operations, including transportation, shipping, and delivery to domestic and international markets.
• Oversee export and import activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation requirements.
• Implement and promote lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and manage budgets for distribution and logistics operations, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant.
