About The Position

Cobalt is seeking a strategic and collaborative Director of Digital Strategy to lead the vision, planning, and success of our digital platforms. This role provides leadership for enterprise business and digital strategy, product ownership, and resource planning across the Credit Union.

The Director of Digital Strategy is responsible for guiding the strategy, roadmaps, standards, and value of Cobalt’s digital platforms, including online and mobile banking, digital communications, self-service tools, and emerging member engagement capabilities. This role also partners across the organization to align technology investments, vendor partnerships, and delivery priorities with business goals, risk considerations, and member needs.

Working closely with Senior Leadership, this position plays a key role in advancing digital adoption and ensuring our digital strategy delivers meaningful results for both our members and the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
• 4 years of progressive experience in technology strategy, digital platforms, product management, or enterprise planning.
• Experience in financial services, credit unions, or similarly regulated industries.
• Demonstrated experience owning digital products or platforms in complex, regulated environments.
• Proven experience with vendor management and contract negotiations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at executive levels.

Nice To Haves

• 4+ years of leadership experience in technology or digital domains preferred.
• Familiarity with digital banking platforms, member engagement technologies, and contact center solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise technology ecosystems, including application delivery and infrastructure considerations.
• Experience translating strategy into roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
