About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Director of Diagnostics (California Medical Groups & IPAs) to lead strategic initiatives that ensure optimal access and reimbursement for our cutting-edge diagnostic products across California. This individual will focus on engaging with medical groups and Independent Physician Associations (IPAs), leveraging deep expertise in provider networks, reimbursement strategy, and the California healthcare ecosystem. You will play a critical role in driving adoption of our diagnostics by navigating the complex payer and provider landscape, building strong stakeholder relationships, and aligning internal teams around market access objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in market access, reimbursement, or healthcare consulting—preferably in diagnostics, biotech, or medical devices.
  • Deep knowledge of California’s healthcare delivery system, with specific experience working with medical groups and IPAs.
  • Proven track record in payer negotiations and reimbursement strategy execution.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into impactful strategies.
  • Highly self-driven, well-organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture strategic relationships with decision-makers in medical groups, IPAs, and healthcare systems across California.
  • Design and implement market access strategies to secure favorable coverage and reimbursement for our diagnostic solutions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Clinical, and Reimbursement teams to align on access and commercialization priorities.
  • Articulate the clinical utility and economic value of our diagnostics to healthcare providers and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and interpret legislative, regulatory, and payer policy developments affecting diagnostic access within the state.
  • Lead payer engagement, including contract negotiations, coverage submissions, and the development of reimbursement dossiers.
  • Provide actionable insights and data to inform pricing, contracting, and access decisions.
  • Track competitor market access activities and adapt strategy in a dynamic and competitive environment.
