About The Position

The University of New Mexico Foundation is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Director of Development to support philanthropic growth for UNM Hospitals and UNM Children’s Hospital. This position plays a critical role in advancing strategic fundraising priorities, deepening donor engagement, and partnering with Hospital leadership to build a culture of philanthropy that strengthens health care for communities across New Mexico.

Requirements

• Proven track record of securing major gifts
• Managing a donor portfolio
• Building strong, long-term relationships
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Manage competing priorities
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and initiative
• Experience using CRM systems for donor management
• Maintain strong organizational skills
• Hold a valid driver’s license with the ability to travel for donor meetings and events
• Baccalaureate degree
• At least 3 years of successful fundraising and development experience, preferably in higher education/academic health care clinical institution.
