About The Position

The Director of Development at Affirmations LGBTQ+ Community Center is responsible for leading and managing all fund development activities, marketing, communication, and community engagement efforts. This role oversees a team of five and collaborates closely with the board of directors to raise revenue for the organization. The position is full-time, exempt, and offers a salary range of $80,000 to $85,000.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred or five plus years of relevant work experience in nonprofit fundraising with budgets over $2 million.
• Experience in applying for and managing complex federal and state grants, including grant reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Google Suite programs and donor-development software, specifically Etapestry.
• Experience in social media applications and working with the media.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in leading capital campaigns.
• Developing planned giving campaigns.
• Securing federal and state grants in excess of $500,000.
• Developing comprehensive donor programming with a focus on major gifts.

Responsibilities
