The Director of Development plans, directs, and coordinates fundraising activities for Planned Giving prospects and donors in the Western Region of the United States, with a particular focus on the California market. A member of a national Individual Giving team, the Director is part of a national Planned Giving strategy group and will report directly to the Executive Director, Planned Giving. Additionally, the Director and their supervisor will partner closely with the Associate Vice President who manages the East and West Coast teams. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for their portfolio of donors. The Director is expected to maintain an active travel schedule of personal visits with donors and initiate one-on -one engagement and solicitation opportunities.
