About The Position

This role will support the mission of the University by qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors and prospects for major gifts in support of Baylor University, focused on support for the Honors College. A bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience are required. A master's degree and seven years of relevant experience are preferred. A hybrid work arrangement will be considered on a case-by-case basis. A valid US Driver License with a clear driving record of at least two years is required. Must be able to travel outside of the state of Texas. Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of donors and prospects for major gifts to Baylor, especially for their respective colleges and units
  • Travel to and participate in donor events as well as other donor engagement opportunities - some outside of standard hours of operation
  • With the leadership of the Assistant VP and Assoc. VP for Development, establish yearly measurable goals/objectives, related metrics for new gift commitments secured, proposals made, new prospects qualified, and prospect meetings held
  • Participate fully in Advancement’s prospect management, discovery/qualification visits and related prospect development programs
  • Collaborate with other Advancement frontline fundraisers to optimize solicitations that involve the Honors College and broader Baylor University
  • Enhance donor experience that reflect major gift engagement
  • Operate as a resource for major gift strategies that involve the Honors College and broader Baylor University
  • Collaborate with other Advancement team members to inspire trust, encourage creative thinking, and collaborate with other Baylor staff and volunteers to significantly increase private gifts to Baylor
  • Collaborate with respective deans, directors, or other senior administrators in developing impactful philanthropic agendas consistent with Baylor's and the Honors College's strategic plans for major and prospective donors
  • Collaborate with deans, directors, and other senior administrators on structuring, enlisting, educating, focusing, and partnering with college and unit advisory boards and councils to increase giving with commitments at the major gift level and higher
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
