The Director of Development is a member of the University Advancement division and reports to the Associate Vice President for Development and Comprehensive Campaigns, working in close partnership with the Vice President of the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. This position serves as the primary philanthropic strategist for the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. The mission of the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management is to connect all students with their full potential. Fundraising priorities in the Division include essential needs, career development, student belonging, mental health and student counseling, and scholarships, including general scholarships that support students across campus. The Director of Development manages a portfolio of major philanthropic partners and prospects, develops and executes cultivation and solicitation strategies, builds long-term philanthropic relationships, and secures major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations to advance institutional priorities. Success is measured through philanthropic partner engagement, pipeline growth, strategic solicitations, and philanthropic outcomes. In collaboration with division leadership, the Director also contributes to conversations regarding volunteer leadership engagement.
