The Director of Development for Arrupe College at Loyola University Chicago is a pivotal role responsible for establishing and achieving strategic fundraising goals for the University. This position involves identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors for major and planned gifts, with a focus on building relationships with alumni and friends of the University. The Director will develop and manage strategies and staff to meet these fundraising objectives, ensuring alignment with the University’s priorities and campaign initiatives. In this role, the Director will manage a diverse portfolio of prospects, participating in the qualification, cultivation, and solicitation of major and principal gift prospects with a capacity of $100K to $5M. The Director will work closely with the Dean of Arrupe College, faculty, and other university leadership to foster relationships that lead to successful fundraising outcomes. This includes setting and achieving specific fundraising goals and metrics for Arrupe College while also supporting other university programs and initiatives. The Director will be responsible for a comprehensive range of fundraising activities, including direct solicitation of major gift prospects, writing and editing correspondence and proposals, and preparing contact reports on interactions with donors. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to facilitate the cultivation and stewardship of prospects, ensuring that all fundraising efforts are strategically aligned with the University’s mission and goals. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the overall objectives of the development team.
